Niedermayer Victory Lap
OK, so it's not official until 6:30, but the announcement is regarding his "playing status," not his retirement. Here are my greatest hits on why he wasn't ever retiring:
And yes, I gave up at one point, but even there, I said, "I find it pretty silly to retire at age 33," and it was based on yet another bogus Eklund rumor.

Niedermayer

I thought Niedermayer's "imminent" retirement announcement was (e5) but out of respect to Niedermayer was just called (e4).

If those sources are legit, either Scott is changing his mind a lot, or he's communicating with that source in Klingon.
