Time For A Sports Blogger Ethics Panel

AP:
A sports reporter who admitted fabricating stories has been fired for breaching The News Leader's journalistic ethics policies, executive editor Dave Fritz said in a column Friday.

An investigation by the daily newspaper's editors turned up "significant evidence" that Blair J. Parker fabricated at least four stories and plagiarized from others on the Internet, Fritz said.
Unimaginable.  That is, unimaginable that sports writers are required to adhere to journalistic ethics policies.  I guess at the Denver Post that includes denigrating large populations of people (Yeah, I'm talking about that gasbag, Woody Paige.)
